Twitterrific

Twitterrific gives you the possibility of tweeting your thoughts, following people and keeping up with the latest tweets from a compact and comfortable desktop user interface. It eliminates the need of opening a web browser, going to Twitter and logging in. Whenever you feel like tweeting, you can just run this lightweight application and post your messages right away. The application is absolutely free and it comes in an iOS version as well.

You can sign into an existing Twitter account or create a new one on the application's compact user interface. Besides logging in, you will also need to authorize the application to connect to your Twitter account. This is done on a web browser, but it has to be done only once.

Once you are signed in, you can view all tweets from the people you are following, tweets in which people have mentioned you, private messages and favorite items. These sections can be accessed via navigation tabs, on the left side of the interface and view their contents in the larger area on the right. Besides tweets, mentioned or messages, you can also find trending subjects, in which you can participate without any difficulties.

Any actions can be performed easily and effortlessly. Options for retweeting, viewing the entire conversation or for posting a new tweet are neatly integrated into the user interface and they can be found instantly. What's more, the application can be linked to several Twitter accounts and it lets you switch between them instantly.
